Welcome

Our History

GISI/IFGF began through a revival meeting that was named ·Malam Oikumine Indonesia (MOI) 1980. With the grace of God MOI revival meeting was held in America, Canada, and even to Netherlands. Out of this MOI revival movement, fellowships of Indonesian people in America began. During the fellowship in Alhambra, in September 1980 the name IFGF was first mentioned and was agreed upon to be used in the fellowship and later on became Indonesian Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) church.

In 1989, IFGF goes to its homeland and start establishing churches in Indonesia. Miraculously, God led the Director General of Christian Department of Religion at that time, whom, after inspecting IFGF in America was moved to establish IFGF in Indonesia.

Through God·s mercy, in July 25th 1989, IFGF church was officially acknowledged by the government in Indonesia by the name of Gereja Injil Seutuh Indonesia (GISI) based upon:

  1. Certificate of church establishment by the Notary Rachmat Santoso SH, No. 79 dated July 10th 1989.
  2. Letter of Decision from the Director General Social Advisor of Christian Department of Religion Republic Indonesia R.I No. F/Kep/158/2742/1989 dated July 25th 1989.
  3. Explanation Letter of Registration No. WJ/7/BA.01.1/2248/1989 dated July 26th 1989 issued by Regional Office of Christian Department of Religion Specialized Region Capital City Jakarta.
